Client: Ev'Yan Whitney
Role: Art Direction, Lettering
Ev'yan Whitney is a sexuality doula™ and a sex educator who empowers and holds space for womxn and femmes as they step out of shame and fear and come into the full expression of sexual liberation—whatever that looks like for them. She teaches online courses, facilitates in-person workshops, and guides clients via one-on-one sessions.
In 2015, she created The Sexually Liberated Woman podcast to continue the conversations she was having with her clients about their courageous sexual liberation journeys.
I designed her personal logo, Ev'Yan Whitney, and re-branded TSLW podcast for the relaunch in 2019. For her personal logo, she wanted it to evoke vulnerability, sensuality, and the human touch. Also, I designed the new hand-lettered logo to fit within her existing brand. The TSLW podcast identity is a cousin to her existing brand and is inspired by the balance of soft and strong feminity.
“I love how your design aesthetic closely matched mine. I feel like what I envisioned came to life through working with you. And when things got slightly off track, I loved how you were open and flexible to feedback. I also really loved the PDF presentations you sent over. You were punctual, communicative, professional, and organized. I would hire you again in a heartbeat (and honestly, I'm thinking up other ways we can work together in the future)." Ev'Yan Whitney
